Dear ,

Over Chanukah, our community came together for a beautiful series of events that brought light, joy, and inspiration to all ages. With the Home Depot workshop, visitations, the car parade, and engaging teen programs—it was truly uplifting to celebrate and spread the Chanukah spirit together.

Below is a brief recap of the events that brought our community together and helped spread the light of Chanukah all around town.

19 Kislev Fabrengen
This 19 Kislev, on the Rosh Hashana of Chassidus, Chabad had a total of 6 Farbrengens!

At Chabad for Men
At Chabad for Women
Beth Bechor in Briarwood
Mishkan Ohel Moed in KGH
Cong. Charm Circle in KGH
Beth Gavriel in FH

At each Farbrengen, we got inspired to connect to our Neshama - our Jewish soul, and to grow in our Jewish observance. We also wished each other well in a spirit of love and comradery, as the promise of our holy Tzadikim, 'what a Chassidic Farbrengen accomplishes, even the Angel Michael cannot accomplish'.

Thank you to some of our sponsors:

Traveling Olive Oil Factory

Our traveling Olive Oil Factory brought an unforgettable Chanukah experience to Wonderland Jewish Day Care!

3rd Annual Chanukah Home Depot Workshop
Chabad hosted a Home Depot Chanukah Workshop!

The program began with Torah, Tefillah, and Tzedakah —praying for the safety of the Jewish people and for the coming of Moshiach.

The kids learned how olive oil is made (thank G-d it didn’t take us 8 days!), then rolled up their sleeves and got to work—
screwing, banging, and building with lots of excitement!

A huge thank you to the amazing Home Depot staff who came out to join the Jewish community and celebrate Chanukah together.

Thank you to Shmira for protecting us
Thank you to Carlos of Home Depot Flushing
Thank you to Daniel Winchester

So grateful for a meaningful and joyful Chanukah celebration

Thank you Queens Jewish Link for covering this story in their paper.

Chanukah Visitation
We visited families across our neighborhood—and beyond—helping light menorahs, sharing gifts, and spreading the warmth and joy of Chanukah.
With the help of our incredible volunteers, the holiday spirit reached many homes, reminding us that a little light goes a long way.

Chanukah Car Parade

Light up the night!

It was an honor to be part of the 12th Annual Queens Menorah Car Parade, driving through Forest Hills, Rego Park, and Kew Gardens Hills, and ending with a powerful Menorah lighting at Cunningham Park in Fresh Meadows. It was great to join together with so many community members as we paraded and lit up the dark streets with Menoras and music - physical light and spiritual energy.

Chanukah in the Teen Programs

Our preteens at Halsey and teens at Forest Hills High School spent Chanukah enjoying games, activities, sweet treats, and the legendary BeanBoozled Jelly Belly dreidel game.
